This is a free website cost calculator and website price estimator for a custom WordPress site. Move the sliders, add the features you actually need, then send the contact fields so you can see a total. That number is a website design cost estimate — not a signed proposal.
Most of the sites we build use WordPress as the foundation. Site builders (Wix, Squarespace, Weebly) are a different, usually smaller job. Call us if that is what you want; this tool is not built for those platforms.
The estimator adds design, pages, forms, landing pages, images, programming hours, and the optional add-ons listed in the form. It does not lock in hosting, paid ads, or a monthly marketing retainer. After you have a range, we write a scope. Until then, treat the total as a website building-cost planning number.
How much websites cost depends on the work, not on how many stock photos you like. A small-business brochure site with a handful of pages is one job. A WordPress site that has to rank, take leads, and connect to email or a store is another. Content, competition, and the user experience all move the website design cost estimator up or down.
Small businesses often assume cost is “how it looks” plus page count. Those matter. Complexity, required features, and whether the site has to support sales matter more. Use the calculator, then talk through the result.
A straightforward marketing site — about ten pages, a working contact form, and a homepage plus interior layout — is the baseline this tool is built around. Extra pages, extra forms, and extra landing pages are why the sliders exist.
This WordPress website cost estimator assumes a custom or semi-custom WordPress build, not a leftover theme with a logo dropped in. Stock themes take fewer programming hours. Semi-custom work is most of what we ship. See what a WordPress build includes.
A cart, shipping, and product data are outside a brochure-site estimate. If you need a store, say so on the form or on the call. We already work with WordPress and, when the catalog calls for it, dedicated commerce platforms.
The same website design cost calculator can return two very different totals. These are the usual reasons.
Original page layouts, custom graphics, and copy written for the business cost more than a rearranged template. Programming hours go up when the site needs behavior a theme does not already have — calculators, filtered catalogs, member areas, or unusual forms.
Search work, hosting, and a care plan are usually separate from the build line. Local visibility is a different job from launching pages. See local SEO and Google Maps work and WordPress support and maintenance when those are part of the year, not just the launch.
Ongoing marketing — email, ads, automation — is also not inside the estimator. Ask for those as their own scopes.
A website cost estimator is for planning. A proposal is a scope: pages, features, who writes the copy, and what “done” means. If the calculator is far from the budget you have, say so. It is cheaper to resize the job than to pretend a brochure total covers a store.

If you already have a site, a free website audit is often the better next step than guessing which sliders to move. If you are hiring for a New Jersey build, start from website design in New Jersey and South Jersey or the broader website design services page.
